Accommodation at Agapi Beach Resort consists of 2 main buildings with guest rooms, and a village area with comfortable bungalows spread around the lush gardens.

Greek Breakfast is daily served at the property's dining area. It consists of various cheese types, homemade pies and honey. Guests can dine at the hotel’s main restaurant offering international and Greek flavours and explore a variety of themed buffet dinners that alternate every 2 weeks. The beachfront tavern Akrogiali, with direct sea views, offers a buffet of traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and traditional Cretan recipes for a la carte dinner. The Mediterranean street-food restaurant Taka-Taka will entice guests with its variety of dishes from 6 cuisines. For the lovers of the Italian cuisine, piazza d’Italia serves the most iconic recipes.

Weekly events with food and live music are organised at the Garden Theater, while live piano music nights are held at the Main Bar of the resort. Agapi Beach Resort guests can attend beach parties by the beach bar, lobster evenings, wine tasting events, Greek cooking lessons and attend aerobics classes. Other activities include SUP or canoe, jet skiing, yoga and water polo.

The resort is well equipped for children. It offers child supervision, highchairs and children’s meals, as well as a children's club.

The Agapi Beach Resort lies just 6 km west of Heraklion and 12 km from the airport in the splendid coastal resort of Ammoudara. Nearby there is a wide variety of shops including a mini-market and souvenir shop. The Palace of Knossos, one of the major cultural heritage sites of Greece, is a 30-minute drive away.

What was the highlight of Agapi Beach Resort Crete

Good hotel, great location and friendly staff

The facilities were very good, with one main pool and two smaller pools. The hotel has its own substantial, sandy beach. The food is very good with a good selection of restaurants/snack bars at lunch time and to a slightly lesser extent in the evening. The staff are all friendly and helpful, reflecting the fact that it is a family run hotel.

The room was pleasant enough but could do with updating. The WiFi was inconsistent in our room, in contrast with the good reception on the rest of the hotel premises, including the beach. The number of English speaking channels on the TV was poor, although it did slightly improve half way through our 8 day holiday. Like the wifi, I think this was particular to our room/block.

If you’re looking for a relaxing all inclusive vacation Agapi Beach Resort will not disappoint.

Great beach. Great location near to Heraklion. The park is very pretty and kept well. The staff isvexceptionally friendly. The food is also very good.

At dinner at the main restaurant there are queues which form. It’s not a problem but it could probably be avoided or improved by reorganizing the food isles a bit.

Wonderful

The property was nice, and there was good value for the money. We were initially given a different room from what we paid for, but it was all resolved by the next day. The staff were really apologetic about the mistake and tried to make up for it. All in all, a little bleep in the vacation, but love how it was resolved, and we did ultimately really enjoy our stay here.

Food was a little repetitive, but then I'm comparing to the carribean all inclusives. All in all, not bad.

Amazing!

The staff were absolutely in particular Stavrous (bar man) ! His kindness and good humour made the holiday for us, but all staff were truly amazing! The facilities are amazing and the activities available were second to none! We really really enjoyed this part of our trip!

A slightly older age group attending this resort, but that didn’t affect us when we were there for 3 nights only - and we even made some friends!

Happy and comfortable place to stay .

Great food. I had to start this that as it was so delicious and the variety of it was outstanding. There has been always a table with special Cretan food. Very helpful , nice and amazing staff . It’s very clean . Location is perfect, just by the bus and taxi station . It’s 15 min to the city centre of Heraklion by taxi ( 15 Euro flat fee) . There are buses as well ( 1.60 euro) to the city and to Knossos. This hotel has a nice clean beach , can spend there whole day . It’s a great place to stay as a solo travel, with family and with friends .

Rooms were a bit outdated .

A place to come back! Great food, wonderful staff, nice rooms & beautiful sandy beach!

Very professional and accommodating team at the check-in. We truly appreciated having our rooms ready upon the arrival (11am). Wonderful rooms, cleaned every day. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach is spacious, very clean, nice sand, plenty of sunbeds. Special note to the restaurant team & cooks - a great variety of food, with new dishes every day, well-run and very efficient. Hotel premises are spotless, very well-looked-after. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would consider coming back again for sure!

Only a minor feedback on breakfast - while i have never seen such a wide selection of egg-dishes in any other hotel ( :) ), perhaps starting with pancakes a bit earlier than 8:30am would be nice. We were early risers but i would assume others like us would also appreciate that :)

Love this hotel, everything about it.

The staff were all amazing, they could not do enough for us. You can tell that this hotel is not part of a chain, there is something homely about it and very welcoming. The hotel/resort is extremely clean. We had a seaview room and it is well worth paying the little bit extra for this, wonderful views.

Overall had a great time, food was tasty and fresh all the time, hotel staff was exceptional Never struggled to find space at the pool or the beach, all well maintained with plenty of sunbeds to choose from Room was spacious enough for 3 and comfortable with plenty of storage space

Dinner time was very crowded every evening we were there end of September( staff did help to find table) Not enough areas for non smoking people especially in the evening outside lobby bar and non smoking areas not really enforced Many popular cocktails had a surcharge (such as Aperol Spritz)

Amazing hotel, amazing beach, amazing people there! 10/10

The beach is beautiful, the sea was warm! There are lots of plants and palmas! The food is perfect, every lunch and dinner can eat various types of food! All inslusive includes everything what you need in a good holiday! The staff are superfriendly and consuderate! We must have to come back again!

Only one thing: there are few electrical outlets in the room!

Wonderful

Nice rooms, very clean, lovely beach. Friendly staff. The hotel wasn't too big like the other all-inclusive ones but still had enough to offer and had a friendly vibe which is not usually the case for all inclusive hotels.

Information about restaurants is very confusing. You can eat at the outside restaurants only if booked in advance and you can book it only at certain times (during meals).

Over expectations!!!

It was a wonderful vacation with my 2yo son. We stayed 2 weeks. Unfortunately my husband couldn’t come. On the beginning I was worry it would be a little hard deal with a kid by myself but after some time I released. All the staff was just excellent! They met all our needs starting with the change of the room, and ending with the provided stroller and medicines. All the ladies from the reception was super nice. Big hello from us to Daria! Mikhalis helped us with the luggage and became a best friend to my son! They played every time they met after! The resort and its facilities just perfect for the families with kids: kids play room (big thanks to Lesa for all the activities), playground, small pool, mini disco every night. The food was excellent! So many choices! And Manos from the restaurant makes the atmosphere very warm and homely. We will definitely will come again if we have a chance and I’ll recommend this places to all my friends with kids! Big hug from Nadya & Egor

Beyond perfect - coming back next year

Such an amazing resort - I wish we could have stayed for much much longer! Everything exceeded our expectations, as vegans we had many plant-based food options for every meal, plus there are several restaurants with different menues. The beach is spacious and guests have a lot of privacy, there are 3 pools on the resort so we moved a lot during the day. Knossos Palace is fairly close to the resort, airport and the city center as well. We watched the meteor shower from our bungalow's balcony with the sea view. It was an amazing active vacation. Best of all, the amazing staff even prepared a special cake and sparkling wine surprise for my mom's birthday! On the last day, our flight was rescheduled for 2am, we were able to use all-inclusive services all day long after check-out time. The amazing staff let us extend the use of our room until 6pm for the fee of 60 EUR, which was really handy considering we were all salty and had to prepare for the flight back home. Looking forward to coming back next year with more friends and family :D

I felt relaxed and well looked after. The food and maitre d’ were wonderful.

Close to beach, multiple pools, amazing food and such a selection throughout the day and eve, lovely view, friendly staff, great weather, entertainment, friendly and calm hotel guests.

Only that people would put their towels by the pool and leave them there all day meaning there were no sun loungers for others when they needed.

Wonderful

Great service from every member of staff. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and did whatever they could to help us. The food was good and therecwas a lot of choice in the main buffet restaurant. We also ate at the Taverna and the Italian and particularly liked the Taverna.

Only a small thing but they dont provide irons/ ironing board like most hotels. I needed to iron a shirt for dinner and they said i could use their laundry service, which was at a cost and also i wouldnt have got my shirt back in time for dinner as i needed it within 45 minutes or so.
